Premium cuts and seafood are the centerpiece to this evening dining experience. Carnival is enforcing this, as I ordered three lobsters on my last cruise and was charged a $5 fee for the third entree. When it comes to entrees on the kid menu at Carnival, there are plenty of choices that kids will love, such as grilled cheese sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, and pizza. Here, four entrees do not rotate and are available each night. Surf & Turf, Broiled Filet Mignon, New York Strip Loin Steak, and Grilled Lamb Chops are those items. For example, one menu’s Featured Salad is the Ultimate Cobb Salad (which includes chicken and bacon).

The menus will be rolled out fleetwide based on the schedule detailed in this article. Carnival Cruise Line has beeen enhancing its main dining room offerings over the next several months to bring more variety, with nearly 60 new entree presentations on rotation, fleetwide. Swirls soft serve machines are available on all ships and feature chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry soft serve ice cream and yogurt.
CARNIVAL 7-NIGHT DINNER MENUS
There will be two formal (“elegant”) nights on all 6-day Carnival itineraries. They will take place on night 2 and either night 4 or 5 (keep reading for further explanation of this). To reduce waste, the new menus now state that there will be a five-dollar charge for the “third entree or more.” In other words, they’re complimentary if you want to order two entrees. If a third dish catches your eye and you want to try it, you can do so, but for five dollars.

These are available for $23 per entree, with an 18 percent service charge automatically added. As expected, this is where you’ll see a variety of dishes covering the gauntlet on the Carnival Cruise Line menus, from Seafood Newburg to Beef Wellington. If there’s one section that we’re most excited about, it might be this one. Each night, an appetizer and entree specifically created by Lagasse can be found here. The cost is $26, with an 18 percent service charge automatically added.

Below are the new dinner menus that are now being rolled out across the Carnival Cruise Line fleet. It is important to note that the order of these menus may change based on your specific itinerary and length of your cruise. For example, the elegant nights tend to occur on your ship’s sea days. Additionally, if your sailing is less than 8 days, some of the below menus will be eliminated from your rotation. New main dining room menus will also include offerings from Carnival’s popular specialty dining restaurants, so more guests may experience the wide variety of great food offered across the fleet. The partnership aims to introduce guests to a diverse range of culinary offerings, showcasing Emeril's culinary expertise and adding a touch of gourmet dining to the cruise experience.

Note that this menus was changed in 2024 and now offers fewer omelette options than the prior version. The U.S.-based ships in the Carnival Cruise Line fleet are set to all be serving the new menus by the end of the year. The Australian-based ships will receive the new menus in 2024. Carnival Cruise Line is rolling out new Carnival main dining room menus, and we have a first look at all the new offerings available. Freestyle Travelers is the ultimate resource for cruisers seeking to explore the seas.
The menus feature a variety of dishes, including seafood specialties and desserts, designed to cater to different tastes and preferences. Carnival Cruise Line also features a variety of specialty restaurants on its ships available for an up-charge. These include everything from an upscale steakhouse to sushi and teppanyaki. While these offerings do vary by ship, you can check out a sampling of these specialty restaurant menus in our Carnival Celebration dining guide.
Turn your special vacation in the direction of delicious — book a table for an unforgettably delectable evening at the onboard Steakhouse. Our menu features mouthwatering premium cuts of beef cooked to your exact specifications, as well as a fantastic selection of seafood, entrées, gourmet appetizers... And even a wine list that got the nod from Wine Spectator. (They actually call it the Award of Excellence.) The Steakhouse’s atmosphere pairs remarkably well with, and perhaps even enhances, the culinary creations of our gourmet chefs. Carnival’s Chief Culinary Officer Emeril Lagasse has collaborated with the cruise line to create nearly 60 new entrée presentations for the main dining room that will rotate across ships.

According to Carnival’s brand ambassador John Heald, the Flat Iron Steak will be returning soon as an everyday option. Most recently, it had been replaced by the broiled striploin steak. The Carnival Pride and the Carnival Venezia are also scheduled to get the new menus.
Our chefs always work to accommodate dietary needs, but this menu puts delicious choices front-and-center. Carnival Cruise Line and Emeril Lagasse have entered into a partnership to enhance the onboard dining experience for Carnival's guests. As I recently announced, Carnival is finally rolling out new main dining room dinner menus fleet-wide this fall and has begun testing a first version of the new menus on the Dream.
For example, the Roasted Artichoke, Potato, and Cheesecake. Vegetarians can enjoy a Herb Crusted Stuffed Portobello Mushroom. But this is also where you’ll find the “Featured Indian Vegetarian” option, which changes each evening, and other vegetarian options, such as Baked Vegetable Au Gratin. You’ll find favorites like a shrimp cocktail, Caesar salad, and roasted tomato soup elsewhere. Last November, Carnival made several food-related changes, including charging for a third entree in the main dining room, removing 24-hour ice cream, and modifying the hours of the round-the-clock pizza. Other new offerings include Hawaiian shrimp poke, roasted duck rolls, Cornish game hen, pappardelle with braised lamb, grilled swordfish, Dutch double chocolate pave cake, and banana cream pie.
While you won’t find anything involving molecular gastronomy, you’ll find steak, fish, salads, soups, and vegetarian offerings… pretty much what you expect on any cruise line. The cruise line’s popular Seaday Brunch main dining menu also remains unchanged. It includes fun dishes such as huevos rancheros, steak and eggs, fried chicken and waffles, skillet-cake, flamin’ tomato soup, the brunch burger, and mac and cheese. There are also standby staples like omelets, eggs benedict, cereal, parfaits, pancakes, and oatmeal. Of course many drinks on a Carnival cruise will also cost extra, including soda, specialty coffee, and alcoholic beverages. Or, cruisers can opt to purchase a beverage package.
For the ladies — Casual dresses, casual skirts or pants and blouses, summer dresses, Capri pants, dress shorts, jeans (no cut-offs). Street Eats features three different food stands, Mad Sizzle, Steam Dream, and Time Fries. They generally go in this order, but no guarantees. La Strada Grill is available only on the Venezia on deck 5 aft. This section only offers two entrees, and they do not rotate. One is the Grilled Chicken breast, while the other is the Broiled Striploin Steak.
This omelette station is available on all Carnival ships at breakfast at the Lido Marketplace buffet. Cucina del Capitano is available on the Mardi Gras, Celebration, and Jubilee. Blue Iguana Cantina is available on all Carnival ships except the Splendor (see note about the Venezia below).
